Will there be separate ETH coins with the move to Proof of Stake? *

Which of these are risks involved with using a third party staking/validator service? *

There is much less liquidity on staking services than in solo staking.

If the entity is using a node client that is widely used by other validators, a bug in the client may result in massive slashing for all their validators.

If the entity is centralized, they may be pressured by powerful corporations or governments to collude with other large staking services and attempt to censor transactions.

If the entity is centralized, they may be able to run away with the private key and all their users' holdings.

What were changes introduced in the recent Altair hard fork? *

Increased attestation rewards for users who maintain 99.9% connectivity to the network

Stronger penalties for validators who are offline or perform fraudulent actions

Allowed for withdrawal of staked ETH

Introduced support for “sync committees” to the Beacon chain, which enable light clients to easily sync up to the network without setting high requirements
