Kikuzakiichige is often found in the regions north of Nagano Prefecture, It is a representative wildflower that heralds the arrival of spring in forests after the snow has melted. Walking by the river in Hakuba village on a sunny and warm day in late April, I felt like someone was singing and I went to that place, I found a cluster of beautiful blue Kikuzakiichige. I was so drawn to the beautiful blue color that I found myself holding my camera and readying the shutter. They seemed very happy and excited as they sang and celebrated that the beautiful spring season had finally arrived in Hakuba Village. I would like to visit Hakuba next April and celebrate the arrival of spring with them.
