Bomb Story: Although The Hundreds started off as a men’s brand, early on, there was a sister line called TENS that shared the same inspiration and aesthetic. Madam was the TENS’ brand mascot and borrowed the same colors and styling of Adam, but reflected the strong and charismatic women that surrounded us in streetwear. Unfortunately, TENS only lasted a few seasons, but Madam was intermittently brought back into The Hundreds’ world, recently making a cameo in the 2021 Adam Bomb collection. Today, she holds it down as an on/off-again love interest for Adam and a good and loyal friend to the Adam Bomb Squad. The Pure Madam is the classic Madam Bomb logo imagined in a number of The Hundreds-approved colorways, pulled directly from our base palette. Unlike most of the other art in the ABS collection, this NFT features the only Madam Bomb that is colored up in these tones. | Background Story: The foundation of The Hundreds is streetwear, and at the foundation of streetwear is the graphic T-shirt. From our beginnings in the Fall of 2003, The Hundreds has relied on the tubular, open-ended cotton of a boxy, blank as our canvas. This is the same T-shirt that Bobby and Ben wore growing up, mixing and matching them 3 for $10 at the local swap meets. The independent skate brands of the 1990s, the streetwear brands of the early 2000s, all co-signed the same cut. Even when the clothing industry chased ringspun apparel or fashion silhouettes, The Hundreds held to the inspirational baseline. Our solid backgrounds are hues from the original swatch card that we built the brand off of.
