Before diving into what this piece truly means for me I want you to take a deep breath and a step back to tell me what you see this piece, so, how do you actually feel looking at it? I tend to put detailed descriptions on my artworks but I want to hear your feelings beforehand. Art is a channel, a vessel - a universal language for us all to communicate through. I've been hiding messages here and there in most of my artworks for you to find, some more readable than others at first glance. As an artist it was inevitable for me to fall into the trap of self doubt - which was the main, leading emotion I have felt throughout 2021 which is the creation year of this artwork. I didn't see my colours for what they truly were, didn't notice my glowing light, didn't realize what powers I've had on my palms which I'm sure you could relate to. After creating this piece in a flow state, I sat back; took a big breath and really examined what I have put out - it was a self reflection, I had created my state at the time. This is yet another love letter, a love story for my dear younger Umut for going through all the troubling waters - you've made it in the end. With YOUR love, yes you; I'm standing here firmly with my energy fully replenished and happy to share as long as my light ignites. After all these months I'm certain of one thing and one thing only: We love, we are loved, and we'll never be afraid again to illuminate as long as we're together. <3
