Rorschach Sculpt #2 is the second from 10 sculpturesfrom this collection. The concept It's a process of assembling and disassembling the “sculpture blot” I wanted to play with the mind…try to capture the way I see Analogies all around me. For the first sight the viewer, if even for a moment, may forget the concept of a human form and discover new analogies that arise from the unconscious. My Abstract/Surrealistic art is based on a similar philosophy of the Mind Patterns that was discovered by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach. During the process of creating the artwork, I examine analogies that come to my mind and try to enhance them. Incorporating many associations in one single piece the artwork stays open to further analogies. Actuality: Ups and Downs It's a reflection on the current low activity in the crypto art market in 2022. Many people lost faith and stopped making and collecting NFTs. Just for a short time of insecurity, the unity fell apart and many disappeared behind the stage. I believe that this is a cycle. The high market will come back stronger and more stable than it was… and then eventually the crysis will follow. This is the process. Coming together and falling apart, highs and lows are natural processes of our existence. Accepting this, even anticipating it, being prepared and flexible is the key to reducing our suffering. Symbolics: Angel Dancing humans meet at the center forming together an Angelic entity. Reaching heights is euphoric… but at the end we need to fall down to be able to jump again. Skinless anatomical characters shaped in my own image Symbolizes nakedness, authenticity. Symmetry is the mirror in the sculpture, a mirror on the ground and a mirror in the animation loop. Symmetries and small asymmetries are driving the Mind to search for some biological/anthropomorphic analogies. Technique My movements recorded in the motion capture studio are implemented on a 3D Sculpted virtual character and I create an imprint of the body on specific frames of the animation. During this process the shapes are transforming into polysemantic abstract artwork.
