Something we often fail to recognise is that women can be multi-dimensional. They're peaceful, and they're violent. For some, being ferocious and even violent is a route towards equality and empowerment, and sometimes, it routes from oppression. And then there's a different side to them where they collectively and individually contribute to ending violence and making peace throughout the world. Time and again, personal experiences have driven women to rise up as advocates and activists for peace. This capacity to draw on profound pain and focus on the positive is an extraordinary quality - a quality that exists within Kali. Kali is capable of being ferocious when there's injustice, but she is also a symbol of nature herself – primordial, creative, nurturing and devouring in turn, but ultimately loving, benevolent and serene. You must know women aren't much different from Kali and Kali is just a character trait present in all the woman.
