Looking at the reality of this optimistic yet unattainable timeline, it was merely a capitalistic tool—a false future sold to us to serve the needs of consumerism. We dream of the analog warmth of bygone technologies while ironically falling victim to the fleeting nature of modern consumption brought forth by them.
