Now that I’m traveling full time, I watch that number dwindle, knowing once it hits zero I have to go back and get a “real job” again. But I can’t let that happen. So I'll do whatever I can to spend as little as possible while still making it to the places where I can take the best photos. That led me to Iceland. It’s been brutal here with storms each day. I’m sleeping in the rental car, wet and frozen, unable to shower or dry out. But I’m out here doing what I love, so I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. We met an Icelander who guided us to the mysterious Highlands, a vast area of volcanic wasteland in the middle of the country. We arrived at the edge of a giant volcano crater filled with turquoise water. From the drone, I saw it was far more vast and brilliant than I could have imagined. A place so beautifully remote, I’m still not sure how it could be of this earth.
