From birth, we find ourselves chasing acceptance. We yearn for affirmation from those around us. The dopamine hit we get from the feeling of acknowledgment is more powerful than we'd like to admit. Deep down, we all crave validation. "Validation" was inspired by the thought provoking work of Jack Butcher. His "Checks" sparked a broader conversation and I felt compelled to dive deeper into our desire to feel seen - and who we allow to control that feeling.
