PIPT is a PowerIndex Pool Token - a share of PowerIndex pool. PowerIndex stores a basket of 8 assets on a special smart-contract in Ethereum. This token can be issued only by supplying liquidity to it. When someone supplies liquidity to the contract, PIPT token is minted.

Its price depends on the price of these 8 tokens inside the Index. You can see the current token composition on PowerIndex.io.

Functions of PIPT:
- store 8 Defi tokens in one asset
- receive cashflows based on Vault strategies applied to these 8 tokens
- vote in governance in any of 8 protocols (meta-governance)
